Getting Around:

White River Junction is a compact, walkable downtown, with everything within a 15-minute walk of the Amtrak station. Public parking is available in a metered lot just off South Main Street, across from the train station. From there, you can also take Advance Transit (AT) to Hanover, Lebanon, and Wilder. White River Junction is conveniently located off Exit 11 of I-91, providing access to VA Cutoff Road, which features various eateries and car dealerships.

White River Junction, Vermont, is conveniently located off Exit 11 on I-91, about a three-hour drive from New Haven, CT. It’s also near the junction of I-89 and I-91, making it an easy three-hour trip from Boston, MA.

By Air

The nearest airport is Lebanon Municipal Airport (LEB), just a 10-minute drive from downtown White River Junction. For more flight options, travelers can fly into Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (MHT) or Burlington International Airport (BTV), both approximately 1.5 hours away by car.

By Train

One of the best ways to reach White River Junction is by Amtrak. The Amtrak Vermonter line stops right in downtown WRJ, providing a scenic and convenient rail option from cities like New York, Washington D.C., and beyond.
